How does the commissioning technology of automatic soldering machines affect soldering quality? Compared to manual soldering, automatic soldering machine technology has its own advantages. Both automatic and conventional soldering machines are leaders in terms of efficiency and precision. However, achieving technical perfection with automatic soldering machines still presents certain challenges, and there’s still much room for improvement.

How does the commissioning technology of automatic soldering machines affect soldering quality? Compared to manual soldering, automatic soldering machine technology has its own advantages. Both automatic and conventional soldering machines are leaders in terms of efficiency and precision. However, achieving technical perfection with automatic soldering machines remains somewhat challenging, and there are still many areas that need further study.

1. A small automatic soldering machine is a type of machinery. First of all, it lacks the ability to discern or make judgments on its own. The quality of soldering largely depends on whether the operator’s technique is appropriate. Mastering the skills for operating the soldering machine is crucial for ensuring high-quality soldering. The automatic soldering machine merely substitutes your hand—but that doesn’t mean it can completely replace an entire soldering job. The automatic soldering machine controls the soldering process through data stored in its microcomputer. All this data must be entered and saved into the microcomputer controller by the operator beforehand. During operation, the soldering machine automatically retrieves the stored data, including the preheating time for the soldering iron tip, the travel distance of the rotating axis, the soldering duration, and the precise soldering location. As you can see, apart from some complex soldering points and machine-related factors, the quality of soldering essentially hinges on the human operator. At the same time, however, the automatic soldering machine does have its own strengths in terms of execution: once the parameters are set, the machine will consistently carry out the task according to those parameters.

2. Set the preheating time appropriately based on the size of the soldering iron tip and the workpiece. Workers are required to adjust the preheating time reasonably according to the actual situation.

3. The incorrect positioning of the soldering iron tip is a common mistake. To achieve more precise soldering, adjust the tip’s position to an extremely low level. Try applying pressure to the solder joint with the soldering iron tip. This error occurs because they don’t understand the principle behind soldering: the correct soldering technique involves heating the surface through contact with heat, rather than directly applying heat via the soldering iron tip.

The impact of small automatic soldering machine technology on welding quality is primarily influenced by the settings of the automatic soldering machine parameters and the distance between the soldering iron and the object. The preheating time before soldering significantly affects the quality of the weld.

How can you check the safety performance of a soldering machine? Here are some operational methods:

1. The automatic soldering machine should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated location, such as outdoors. In addition to its own cover, the automatic soldering machine must also be equipped with measures to protect it from rain and snow. The soldering machine must be kept in a clean and tidy area, and no flammable or explosive materials should be stored nearby.

2. The secondary leads of welding machines from the manufacturer must be securely connected and free from any looseness. The number of connections on the secondary leads should not exceed three. The cross-sectional area of the welding cable should be correctly selected according to the capacity of the welding machine, so as to avoid long-term overloading that could lead to insulation aging.

3. The welding clamp shall comply with relevant national regulations, ensuring that the electrode can be securely clamped at any slope, has good insulation, features an intact insulating layer on the handle, and connects reliably to different wires. The connections should be lightweight and flexible, easy to use, free from overheating, and the wires must not be exposed. The clamp itself should be well protected. On-site metal structures, pipelines, rails, and other similar components must not be used as part of the secondary circuit for welding.

The automatic soldering machine must be reliably grounded. Otherwise, it could damage the soldering robot. The soldering robot’s operating environment should be well-ventilated and hygienic, with a temperature range of 0–50°C and relative humidity between 30% and 90%. Do not touch the soldering iron tip while it is still not fully cooled.
