Dispensing machines are widely used in industrial applications. In industrial production, dispensing is required in many areas, such as integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, color liquid crystal displays, electronic components (such as relays and speakers), automotive parts, and more. Traditionally, dispensing has relied on manual operations performed by workers. Manual dispensing suffers from drawbacks including complex operation procedures, slow speed, low precision, a high likelihood of errors, inability to handle intricate patterns, and an utter lack of capability for automating the production process—factors that fail to meet current market demands. Traditional dispensing machines require custom-made fixtures; products must be placed onto these fixtures before the dispensing process can proceed. This results in low efficiency and poor precision.

Intelligent systems represent a new technology in the field of modern fluid technology control and have become an essential component of contemporary manufacturing production systems. This is the vision system of a dispensing machine, designed to mimic the functions of the human eye. An automated visual dispensing machine equipped with “visual” capabilities replicates the functions of the human eye. Generally speaking, a visual dispensing system comprises a light source, lenses, a camera system, and an image acquisition and processing system. During dispensing operations, a dispensing machine equipped with a vision system connects to a PC for easy adjustment of various operational parameters, such as glue output volume, dispensing time, and complex path editing.
The gap between domestically produced dispensing machines and foreign dispensing machines:
1. Control Level: Domestic dispensing machines lag behind their foreign counterparts in terms of measurement and control technology, primarily in control accuracy and product repeatability.
2. Competitiveness: Due to China’s high dependence on advanced dispensing equipment from abroad, domestically produced dispensing equipment lacks the same level of cost-effectiveness and competitiveness as its foreign counterparts.
3. Development Philosophy and Model: Domestic dispensing machines started by imitating foreign technologies, and then determined their production model based on the needs of the potting market—hence, there’s relatively little innovation!
4. In terms of efficiency and energy conservation: Most dispensing machines in China have relatively high energy consumption—often twice that of comparable foreign models. Yet their speed is only half that of foreign dispensing machines, the development time for these machines is three times longer, and their service life is half that of foreign counterparts.
5. There is a gap in design concepts: Currently, most dispensing machine manufacturers in China are still using traditional standard models and established improvement approaches.
6. There is a gap in the mindset regarding equipment upgrades: In China, when it comes to updating dispensing equipment, the general practice is to replace old machines with new ones as soon as they become outdated. However, foreign companies don't simply replace all their old dispensing equipment; instead, they upgrade and modernize the existing equipment based on its original foundation!
